Activities for children and young people
We offer a varied programme, educational workshops and advisory services for school classes, nursery groups and parents with children and teenagers. We also provide learning materials on specific topics.
For school groups
Our teaching and learning laboratories are extracurricular learning spaces for school classes. Here, we test and evaluate new educational programmes and teaching approaches. The focus is on the STEM subjects of biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics, physics and technology.
Teaching materials
- When indulgence reaches its limits (Planetary Boundaries Project)
- Educational Resources for Mathematics (DiLeMa)
- Soya cultivation (GeoLot project)
In our GeoLoT research project, we are investigating how different approaches to geography teaching can help pupils better understand global challenges and take active steps to address them. To this end, we are implementing three different teaching approaches on the topic of soya cultivation, each incorporating different solutions into the lessons. We will then evaluate the teaching approaches based on their impact on pupils’ interest, motivation and understanding. Why not join us and your class in a research project aimed at further developing geography teaching that holistically promotes skills within the context of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)!
